The 2022 League of Legends World Championship semifinals are LCK-packed
The Worlds 2022 Quarter Finals are over and we have a very exciting round of semifinals coming our way. Despite all the odds against them, DRX managed the incredible feat of beating the current World Champions EDward Gaming, reverse sweeping them in the best series at Worlds so far. Gen.G is on a trajectory to win Worlds without facing any foreign opponent in a bo5 series, and JDG is the sole non Korean team in the semifinals.
All of the TI11 favorites are gone, and only 4 teams remain
The International 11 is down to its four remaining teams as this weekend’s countdown to crown the champions is coming to an end. In the Upper Bracket finals, Team Secret and Tundra Esports battle it out for the first finalist spot, where the winner will place at least in the top two. Meanwhile, Team Aster and Team Liquid are playing for their lives in the tournament, where the loser gets a creditable fourth place in TI11.

Faith_bian retires from Dota 2 after 5th place finish at The International 2022
The legendary player was very open about his decision both before and during TI11, saying that he wanted to start a new chapter in his life and that this event would be his last regardless of the outcome. In his original announcement, which was linked to a breakdown of what happened during the TI10 grand final that LGD lost to Team Spirit, Faith_bian noted that it was a decision he had made shortly after that event and that TI11 would be his last effort to raise the Aegis of Champions once again.

Thunder Awaken, one of the most explosive teams at TI11, proved to be a worthy opponent for WEU’s more methodical team, as the two teams were not only evenly matched, but ended up trading blows in multiple bouts in each game that could have easily settled a lesser series.
Technical problems cause a lot of drama at Halo World Championship
An otherwise uneventful first day of competition at the Halo World Championship was mired in controversy in the final hours when a very close showdown between eUnited and European champion Acend was decided by a competition ruling. “Unacceptable is not the word,” said Respectful of Acend. “I have never seen this in my life.”
This upcoming League of Legends off-season is going to bring some interesting changes
More than likely we are heading into the biggest western League of Legends roster shuffle to date. After a horrid post-season for both the LCS and LEC, plenty of teams are likely rebuilding their rosters from scratch. To make things even worse, the best the west had to offer did not come even close to contesting the LCK and LPL at Worlds ’22 while being relatively dominant domestically. We already have hints of some big roster moves coming our way, and more to come post Worlds.
