We are heading into opening day at BLAST World Final 2022. We already covered NAVI vs Vitality, and now its time to look at the second opener between G2 and FaZe Clan.
Right now, G2 are in a very bad state. One victory to Fluxo out of the last six played raises a lot of red flags for a possible underdog surprise, right? Bear in mind that most of the lost matches were actually quite competitive and they could have easily gone the other way around.
FaZe, on the other hand, had a solid run at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022. In the last four matches there, they defeated OG, Heroic, and Ninjas in Pyjamas. However, Heroic got the better of them in the grand final, in a very narrow match that FaZe lost in the overtime of a deciding map.
FaZe and G2 always play competitive games
The head-to-head ratio between these two giants is actually very competitive. Out of the eight maps played, both teams won four. On top of that, we have even seen two maps going to overtime.
It is also important to mention that G2 won the last four matches they played against each other, and they looked good while doing so. Two of four victories came on Dust 2, one on Ancient, and the last one on Nuke.
It’s a very interesting match to predict. Currently, betting sites are heavily favoring FaZe in this match, and we completely agree with this. The current G2 form is abysmal, and that plays a key role when determining the odds. However, the last four maps G2 played against FaZe proved that they can handle them with ease. There is a high possibility that G2 will actually take one map away from FaZe in this match and the odds that we are going to see a decider played in this match are solid.
Those that want to play it safe should go for FaZe Clan, definitely the safer choice in this one. However, if there are some of you who are interested in higher odds, do not be afraid to place a wager on the total maps played suggestion.
