Following the end of Pokémon GO’s “Season of GO” – the ninth season of the hit mobile game has arrived. As a result, everything has changed.
The schedule, the spawns, the events and more are all brand new and will stay as such for the next 89 days (one season lasts 90 days usually). New season just arrived in the last few hours, so here’s everything you need to know.
Pokémon GO Season 9: Mythical Wishes
The first big change is that another Tour is coming. In the past, trainers have been treated to Kanto Tour and Johto Tour most recently. This time, Hoenn tour, the third generation of the games, is coming, per Niantic:
“Pokémon GO Tour returns in 2023 for Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn – Las Vegas and Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn – Global! Get ready to head to Las Vegas and have a chance to catch most Pokémon from the Hoenn Region of Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire— – or experience the adventure globally the following weekend!”
This also means that a brand new season for the GO Battle League is coming. The battle league ends about six hours after the season does, but by then, it’s over and the stardust (has settled) been awarded.
Pokémon Mythical Wishes debuts
This season marks the debut of XXS and XXL Pokémon. In the past, they could be found in various sizes, with some of them being extra large or extra small for their species. Now, they can be found in extra, extra small and extra, extra large.
Shiny Galarian Mr. Mime is making its debut this season. It will be found through Research Breakthroughs.
