The League of Legends 2022 World Championship is an incredible time for League fans and the esports community as a whole since they get to see their favorite squads and players fighting for the coveted Summoner’s Cup and the bragging rights of being a world champion. Since the organizations have to manage incredible mental resilience and consistency throughout the year, Worlds is absolutely full with talented and mechanically skilled players looking to prove that they are truly worthy of the spot and a chance at the title.
Youngsters and rookies usually have the biggest hunger to show their talent during the event, not only to justify their current spot on a team but also to secure a juicy contract for the upcoming split. Even though their gameplay may be a bit rough around the edges to be up to the standards of Worlds title challengers, youngsters regularly have a different approach to the game that can counter the current meta and result in never before seen strategies shown in the biggest stage.

This year’s Worlds tournament is filled with talented rookies and debutants who will stop against nobody to try and take the newly renewed Summoner’s Cup. Here’s our second list of all the rookies and Worlds debutants who have the skill ceiling to turn the scales in their favor in such an event like Worlds.
In the same line as Berserker, Victor “Flakked” Lirola Tortosa joined G2 Esports after bot laner legend Martin “Rekkles” Larsson’s departure from the LEC as a whole, meaning he was needed to fill up some big shoes on the franchise and show that he deserved his spot as G2 Esports’ next bot lane main. Even though there were, as usual, some doubts around the situation, Flakked absolutely stepped up with statistics such as having a 100 percent win rate on champions like Draven, Sivir, and Aphelios during the entirety of the Summer split, he showed his talent and potential is more than capable to be a replacement for Rekkles. Outside of that, his incredible performance during the 2022 Mid Season Invitational was nothing less than extraordinary and truly was his breakout event, with a total 83 percent win rate on Kai’Sa and a 100 percent win rate on Zeri similar to the LEC.
–Zeus
Choi “Zeus” Woo-je is by far one of the most exciting players who will be participating at Worlds 2022 thanks to his incredible adapting skills and huge champion pool, his methodical yet aggressive gameplay, and definite carry potential if given the resources for it. He achieved some impressive statistics in the 2022 LCK Summer Split, such as a 71.4 percent total win rate on Gangplank and 3-0 records on both Gragas and Camille. Zeus is no stranger to the biggest stage, however he is still considered a youngster similar to his teammates Oner and Gumayusi. Zeus will be looking to show why he is still considered one if not the best top laner in the world, even after a dodgy LCK Summer Split.
